Renewable Energy Sales Executive (St Albans)

Commission-based with £25,000 basic, OTE £30,000+

Due to a rising demand and growth in the renewable energy sector, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join Just Energy Solutions and our growing team. Just Energy Solutions’ renewable energy offering includes Solar PV, Biomass, Solar Thermal, Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps, Free Solar PV and Solar Buyback Solutions (a new, solar PV finance platform).


  • To develop Just Energy Solutions’ corporate and domestic renewable energy customer base and sales pipeline across a variety of renewable technologies – with a particular emphasis on Biomass, Solar PV, Free Solar PV and Solar Buyback Solutions.
  • Develop new sales leads and manage existing clients, including both direct sales and channel partners.
  • Ensure all necessary fields of information are captured from each prospective and existing customer.
  • Carry out initial site visit, through to managing internal resources, supporting the project’s delivery and wrapping up the project with testimonials for the marketing department and communicating our advocacy packages/benefits.
  • Acting at all times as a brand ambassador and representative of Just Energy Solutions; in line with the company’s philosophy, ethos, specification, safety, quality and environmental standards.


Reporting to: Commercial Director & Energy Consultant

Responsible for: Creation and development of sales leads, sales site visits, communication between client and all relevant company departments, selection of compliant efficient solution in line with expectations, negotiate and deliver sale for contract completion, reporting on sales pipeline.

Liaising with: Framework Partners / Delivery Teams; Technical Design Team; Estimating, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager; Marketing; Energy Consultants


  • Sales experience in the renewable energy sector
  • Track record in achieving sales targets
  • Effective development and proposal skills
  • Able to produce and deliver presentations in line with company guidelines
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Work on own initiative and communicate effectively – both oral and written
  • Excellent tactical, methodical and sales skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to identify industry openings and potential routes for business development
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with a wide variety of people
  • Strong networking skills
  • Energetic, all-hands-to-the-pump, enthusiastic attutide
  • Honest and trustworthy sales ethic
  • Willing to travel


  • Thorough understanding of M&E elements
  • Commercially and contractually astute
  • Full, clean driving license

Just Energy Solutions are a fast-growing, national businesses with two offices. This role will be based at our St Albans HQ, though will involve travelling to prospective clients. Specialising in Efficient Heating, Renewable Energy and Smart Technology, this role will be targeted to growing the Renewable Energy sales pipeline and customer base.
